Anything in Home Assistant
TED uses the entities the integrations already expose: state of charge, power, charge or discharge setpoint. No extra hardware.
Multi-brand installation
You added a second battery from another brand, and each app lives in its own bubble. TED brings every inverter and battery visible in Home Assistant under a single setpoint.
Each manufacturer designs its HEMS (the "brain" that decides when to charge and discharge) for its own devices. It knows nothing about the other battery in your consumer unit: not its power, not its state of charge.
The result: two systems reading the same meter and each making its own decisions. At best they share the work badly, at worst they work against each other.
Home Assistant sees all your devices through each brand's integration. But on its own it cannot split a setpoint between them: you would have to write and maintain complex automations.
TED
TED uses the entities the integrations already expose: state of charge, power, charge or discharge setpoint. No extra hardware.
The power to deliver or absorb is split according to capacity, discharging the fullest batteries first and charging the emptiest first.
Add as many inverters and batteries as you need, from any brand, with no per-device license.
A device you cannot (or do not want to) control is included read-only: TED takes it into account without ever sending it a command.
Install each brand's integration (Zendure, Anker SOLIX, Huawei Solar, Victron…) and check that state of charge and power values show up.
As an app on Home Assistant OS, or with Docker on a NAS or mini-PC.
For each one, pick its entities and its type: controlled or monitored. Test communication, then apply.
Maximum charge and discharge power, minimum and maximum battery levels: TED enforces them for every device.
The live demo shows TED's real interface on a working installation: energy flows, inverters, batteries, settings.
Any brand whose Home Assistant integration exposes state of charge, power values and a controllable setpoint. Zendure is tested and validated on our installations; Huawei, SMA, Victron, Deye, Anker SOLIX and others are compatible through their integration. Details are on the Compatibility page.
No. In assisted mode, one brand's HEMS can keep control of its own devices while TED drives the others as reinforcement. In autonomous mode, TED controls the whole installation on its own.
No: TED splits power according to each battery's capacity and level, and respects the maximum power you set for each inverter.
One brand, few settings, a limited number of devices: TED goes beyond these limits, with or without the original HEMS.
