Each device works on its own
With TED: one setpoint, smartly shared between all your inverters according to each battery's level and capacity.
TED is a HEMS: it measures your grid connection and shares charging and discharging between all your inverters and batteries, whatever their brand.
Why TED
Each manufacturer app manages its own devices. TED takes a step back and orchestrates your whole installation.
Each device works on its own
With TED: one setpoint, smartly shared between all your inverters according to each battery's level and capacity.
The manufacturer HEMS holds you back
With TED: no software cap on the number of devices or on the power controlled. You set your own limits, and you can mix brands and models.
Surplus exported, imports at the wrong time
With TED: grid power is continuously regulated around your target. Surplus goes into the batteries; the house draws on them when needed.
How it works
TED sits next to your existing equipment. It reads your meter, then sends its setpoints to your inverters through Home Assistant.
Your meter continuously reports what the house imports or exports, read through Home Assistant (or directly by IP for a Shelly).
State of charge, power, availability: TED smooths the measurement to ignore short spikes.
Charge, discharge or standby: the setpoint is computed to reach your target without exceeding your limits.
Power is split according to capacity, favouring the most relevant battery, then sent through Home Assistant.
Control modes
Keep your manufacturer HEMS or let TED take over: you choose the level of control.
TED follows the "monitored" inverters run by the manufacturer app and adds the power of your other inverters as reinforcement.
TED keeps grid power within the target band you choose, charging and discharging all your batteries.
Schedule weekly grid-charging slots, for example during off-peak hours in winter.
Features
Designed and proven every day on a real installation with several inverters.
Add as many inverters and batteries as you need: no software cap.
When discharging, the fullest batteries go first; when charging, the emptiest. Power follows each inverter's capacity.
Minimum and maximum charge levels per inverter, maximum power for charging and discharging.
Self-calibration, setpoint not applied, lost communication: the device is set aside, then retested automatically.
Switch on a water heater, a plug, a Home Assistant scene or script, or call a webhook, with AND / OR rules.
Real-time view, daily charts, notifications on your own rules, error log and settings history.
Every parameter is changed from the web interface and applies immediately, without a restart.
Include read-only devices too: TED takes the whole installation into account without ever sending them a command.
REST API, configuration export and import, scriptable Docker installation to deploy for several customers.
Language: TED's own interface is currently in French (your browser's translation works well with it). An English interface is on the roadmap: vote for it to speed it up.
Compatibility
TED plugs into the ecosystem you already use.
Installation
The same TED, three ways to install it on an always-on machine: directly in Home Assistant OS, or with Docker on a NAS, mini-PC or Linux server.
TED installs as a Home Assistant app on the same machine: Raspberry Pi, Home Assistant Green, mini-PC.
Home Assistant guideA script prepares the folders and the Docker network, then starts TED. Recommended for 24/7 control.
Download for NASLoad the image and run your own docker run: network, ports and volumes your way.
Trust
TED controls your installation from your own machine. Here is exactly what leaves it.
TED runs on your NAS, your mini-PC or in Home Assistant OS, and talks to Home Assistant on your local network. No measurement from your installation is sent anywhere.
Once a day, TED validates its license with ted-energy.fr (license and installation identifiers, version). The full details are public.
What TED sends over the InternetThe live demo shows TED's real interface on a working installation, read-only.

TED is a HEMS (home energy management system) that runs at home, on your own server (NAS, mini-PC, Linux server) or directly in Home Assistant OS. Connected to Home Assistant, it continuously measures what your home imports from or exports to the grid, then adjusts charging and discharging of all your inverters and batteries so they work together, like one big battery.
Your choice. In assisted mode, your original HEMS (for example the Zendure app) keeps control of its devices and TED adds the power of your other inverters as reinforcement. In autonomous mode, TED regulates the whole installation on its own, independently of manufacturers.
Any inverter or battery that shows up in Home Assistant through its integration (Zendure, Huawei, SMA, Victron, Anker SOLIX, Deye…). Zendure devices are fully tested and validated. The grid measurement comes from your meter, read in Home Assistant or through a Shelly. Details are on the Compatibility page.
Yes, that is what TED is for: every inverter and battery visible in Home Assistant, whatever its brand, receives one shared setpoint, split according to its capacity and state of charge. See how to run several brands together, and the other problems solved on the Solutions page.
Not with Home Assistant OS: TED installs as an app on the same machine as Home Assistant (Home Assistant OS guide). Otherwise, TED comes as a Docker image, to install on an always-on local server: Synology NAS, mini-PC or Linux server. To discover it without installing anything, open the live demo. Everything is explained in the installation guide.
TED is free until further notice. Your license is generated as soon as you submit the form and downloads immediately, with no credit card. If you wish, you can support development with a donation, as explained on the Pricing page, with no obligation.
TED respects the minimum and maximum charge levels and the maximum power you set for each inverter. A device that does not respond correctly (self-calibration, setpoint not applied, lost communication) is automatically set aside, then retested. You remain responsible for your electrical installation: start with cautious limits.
